On 18 March 2026, Allied Green Ammonia Pty Ltd, an Australian company focused on renewable energy, hydrogen and sustainable fuels, submitted a Letter of Intent (LOI) to the relevant Vietnamese authorities and the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee regarding the proposed development of a large-scale Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), e-SAF and Green Diesel project in Vietnam.
The initiative marks an important step in Allied Green’s engagement with Vietnam and in the initial development process for a potential sustainable-fuels investment in Lam Dong.
From Investment Opportunity to Project Development
The notable point of the Allied Green proposal lies not only in the SAF product.
The proposed project is designed around an integrated clean-fuel ecosystem, connecting:
Renewable Energy → Green Hydrogen → SAF / e-SAF → Green Diesel → Global Markets

Rather than focusing solely on fuel production, the proposed model brings together renewable energy, hydrogen, agricultural and biomass resources, industrial processing and sustainable-fuel production.
The project is intended to be developed in phases, with its final configuration, capacity and land requirements subject to detailed feasibility studies and the relevant regulatory and planning processes.
The Proposed Investment
ased on the current project proposal, the indicative investment value is approximately US$6.08 billion.
The proposed production capacity includes approximately:
+ 160,400 tonnes/year of SAF
+ 257,000 tonnes/year of e-SAF
+ 5,040 tonnes/year of Green Diesel
These figures represent the current project proposal and should not be interpreted as an approved investment scale or final project configuration. The project remains subject to feasibility studies, planning, regulatory approvals and subsequent investment agreements.
MetaHome’s Role
For MetaHome, the value of an international project does not simply lie in “bringing investors to Vietnam.”

The more difficult part is turning an investment idea into a project structure that can be studied, connected and progressively developed in practice.
In the Allied Green project, the role of the Vietnamese project development side focuses on:
- Connecting international investors with relevant stakeholders in Vietnam;
- Supporting the assessment of investment opportunities;
- Coordinating discussions among investors, partners, and relevant stakeholders;
- Supporting the assessment of project locations, market conditions, and implementation requirements;
- Coordinating the development of the project structure;
- Supporting the process toward the next stages of feasibility, regulatory, infrastructure, and investment development.Project development and coordination;
This is also how MetaHome approaches Project Development: not simply identifying opportunities, but participating from the formation stage through resource connection and toward implementation.

This approach is aligned with MetaHome’s direction of identify opportunities → develop projects → coordinate stakeholders → connect investors and partners → structure projects.
Why Lam Dong?
SAF is becoming an important component in the aviation industry’s efforts to reduce emissions.

For Vietnam, the opportunity is not limited to producing a new type of fuel. If developed appropriately, a large-scale SAF project could create connections across multiple sectors:
**Renewable Energy
- Hydrogen
- Agriculture & Biomass
- Processing Industry
- Infrastructure
- Logistics
- Aviation
- Export Markets **
This is also why MetaHome views the project as an integrated investment ecosystem, rather than simply a fuel production facility.

The project materials also outline an ecosystem encompassing renewable energy, green hydrogen and sustainable fuels, with an orientation toward regional and international markets.
A Milestone, Not the Finish Line
The LOI dated 18 March 2026 represents a formal starting point for project discussions and studies, rather than an investment approval.

The LOI clearly states that the project remains subject to feasibility studies, national and local planning, required approvals, environmental assessment, infrastructure, land and formal agreements. The LOI also provides that binding commitments will only arise when definitive agreements are executed in accordance with applicable law.
Therefore, the value of this milestone lies in the fact that:
An international investor has moved from an interest in Vietnam to formally studying a large-scale project and beginning to engage with authorities, partners and the implementation ecosystem in Vietnam.
MetaHome Perspective

MetaHome Perspective MetaHome believes that Project Development is a critical bridge between an Investment Opportunity and actual investment.
An opportunity creates real value when it can connect:
Capital + Technology + Market + Infrastructure + Policy + Local Execution.
For Allied Green, the journey from LOI → Feasibility → Project Structuring → Approvals → Financing → Development will require coordination among multiple parties.
MetaHome will continue to participate in the process by connecting resources, developing opportunities and supporting the path toward practical implementation.
From opportunity to project.
From connection to execution.
